: Migration scholarship lost one of the great researchers

A distinguished Australian demographer, Professor Graeme Hugo had been ill for a short time and passed away in the early hours of 20th January. He was one of the leading researchers at the University of Adelaide, Australia where he was Professor of Geography and Director of the Australian Population and Migration Research Centre. Professor Hugo was a good citizen of academia and contributed significantly to the study of international migration and population geography internationally. He will be missed and remembered. Our condolences go to his family and close friends.
